Superhero Mum by Timothy Knapman and Joe Berger (Nosy Crow)

All mums are superheroes, and with Mother's Day coming up on the 11th March (you've got your pressies, cards and flowers ready, right?) why not add a fab book to mum's present pile?
"Superhero Mum" by Timothy Knapman and Joe Berger is a fantastic rhyming story celebrating mums everywhere, and their amazing abilities.

They have an amazing memory, able to pinpoint lost items in a single moment.

They have super-strength, able to carry all your junk (and you) when you get tired on a day out (I think pretty much all parents will know the sweet sorrow of carrying one of those rotten miniscooters around after your child has unceremoniously dumped it on you).

They whizz around the house, tidying up after you, fixing broken things. But although mums don't always wear capes, fancy boots and spandex costumes, they surely are blessed with the most amazing super-power of all - putting up with us!

We love this book (and we're equally delighted to find that there's an accompanying "Superhero Dad" book too, just right for Father's Day).

Give your mum plenty of love this sunday, and pick up a copy of this fab book.

C's best bit: Mum's uncanny ability to locate lost teddies!

Daddy's favourite bit: Superhero mum really does look eerily like C's own mum (who also looks great in spandex, I should add!)

"Superhero Mum / Superhero Dad" by Timothy Knapman and Joe Berger are out now, published by Nosy Crow (kindly supplied for review).
