"Do Not Lick This Book" by Idan Ben-Barak and Julian Frost (Allen and Unwin)

This is such a simple and brilliant idea that I'm amazed no one else has thought of doing it before. How do you teach kids about germs and microbes in a fun and effective way?
With book interaction of course! Thanks to Idan Ben-Barak and Julian Frost's fun and engaging "Do Not Lick This Book!" which is perfectly pitched in a fun and entertaining way for really young kids just beginning to learn more about the world around us, and perhaps some early STEM subjects too.

Inside, the book encourages the reader to 'meet' these tiny microscopic little organisms, and learns more about what they can do when they're behaving themselves (good bacteria for example that live on and inside us in great abundance) and when they're not (germs and microbes - if this doesn't get your kids washing their hands with more enthusiasm, nothing will!)

We love this approach, it's a funny and informative book that encourages learning by reading aloud and joining in, and the microscopic cast of characters are absolutely adorable (well, as adorable as germs can be!)

"Do Not Lick This Book" by Idan Ben-Barak and Julian Frost is out now, published by Allen and Unwin (kindly supplied for review - we washed our hands afterwards, we promise!)
