It's fast, it's frenetic, it's a haphazard chaotic race around the amazing Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum's spiral rotunda.

When Lizzie and her buggy-bound baby brother Ben visit the museum with their dad, one tiny moment of lapsed concentration (dad on his phone, grrr, and Lizzie being scared by Roy Lichtenstein's amazing growling dog) leads to a crazy chase.

Unfolding page by page, "Speeding Down the Spiral" is told in the best traditions of children's books where "the domino effect" threads through the tale as events snowball out of hand.

Will Ben's buggy be brought to a standstill, or will he roll and roll all the way down to the bottom and through the revolving doors?

This book is brilliant and a bit of an obscure one so it's worth hunting out. You can also find out a little bit more about the book and the inspirational museum it's based in on the "Speeding Down the Spiral" website (where you can also find out a little bit more about Deborah and Sophy too!)

Charlotte's best bit: Baby Ben being largely oblivious as chaos ensues. Such a happy little chap enjoying the ride!

Daddy's Favourite bit: A wonderful rag-tag chaotic chase of a book with fab artwork and an exciting, gripping page-turner of a story. Awesome and well worth hunting down a copy!
